Hillbilly technical (People's liberation army) concept.

A technical is a civilian or military unarmed vehicle, usually a pick up truck which has been modified to have an offensive ability.

Hillbilly armour is a slang term for improvised armour created by troops in the field. US army troops found themselves hillbillying a lot of their vehicles to extend their lifespans in Iraq in the first couple years of war there, and if you look online you can see all sorts of almost mad max looking modifications to humvees , trucks and even forklifts to protect their operators. Though due to heavy criticism, official 'up armouring' kits for said vehicles began shipping a few years back.

The thought behind that was seeing an article about how certain kinds of armour for i think it was the ISS use dual layers of light material, one designed just to fragment incoming objects with the second to catch the resulting fragments. Using bricks as the separator was the initial idea, but i liked the look of them so much i ended up filling the space between them totally haha.

Thank you. Another thing like that to look at are technicals from third world countries which tend to be directly converted civilian vehicles.
