After he was placed there it was realised by certain factions that his "sacrifice" could be used to better control humanity, and the 'God-Emperor' concept was truly born. However, other factions nknew the truth, and attempted to free the Emperor. This led to a schism that is still felt 10,000 years later in the Inquisition.
The Throne is now beginning to fail thanks to 10,000 years of continued use, and the Tech-Priests do not know how to fix it. When it stops the Emperor will rise, signalling the return of the Primarch's. The Lion is slumbering within the Rock, Vulkan is wandering the galaxy, Guilliman is in stasis (his wounds healing despite this), Russ promised he would return (the 13th Company will precede him, and they've returned), and Dorn is out there (remember only a forearm was found, not a whole body). And don't forget Corax (who is the master of stealth) and the Khan (the Warp always gives back what it takes).
I could easily do the gravely voice. I've got a lovely virus that has given me a bad throat and left me sounding like I've smoked my entire life (I don't by the way). It's also left me unable to sleep properly (8 hours since Saturday) and a fever with occasional shivers.
A: "Fitting the Golden throne in the oven"
Beautifully done piece.
On an artistic note, I would have had the body a little more . . . rotten/skeletal. Maybe some ribs or something showing or something. This looks kind of like a mummy with it's face missing. Not quite what I imagine when I hear the phrase "Carrion Lord."
"Another account of who the Emperor was states that the Emperor was a Perpetual. but otherwise a normal human, until the Dark Age of Technology. During this time several perpetual including Alivia Sureka traveled with the man who would become the Emperor to the planet Molech, where there was a gateway into the realm of Chaos. The Emperor entered the Gateway, and there made a bargain with the Dark Gods and emerged as a supremely powerful psychic being. However for some reason, the Emperor did not keep his end of the bargain to spread Chaos to humanity, and he became the anathema of Chaos. The Emperor was able to clone the energies he was imbued with, giving them to his Primarchs."
1. It is a thousand not 40k (hehe 40k)
2. He is holding all your 'gods' and daemons at bay in the immaterium, alone, and it just ain't the big four there are an impossible amount of gods in the Warp.
So go ahead and disbelief, humanity will rule the stars as your gods cower before OUR power
That's... Great. Really great.
